I really love dogs. But when my pet (a Japanese Spitz) died, I felt like I don’t deserve to own a new one – that I would not be good in taking care of animals and thinking that having another dog would just end up losing a pet again.
While I was surfing the internet, I came across the story of an unusual dog who was rescued from being killed (because of her condition) by a certain Kim Dillenbeck. The vet who initially looked over the dog recommended euthanasia. But when Kin heard about the puppy, she had to see for herself.
Kim had rescued many animals before and when she saw the unusual pup, she knew she’d be taking her home to Alabama.
The name of the special dog is Pig, and she’s adorable.
She was found alone in the woods near Atlanta, abandoned by her feral mother.
But what isn’t obvious in the photos above is the fact that Pig is about half the size of a normal dog and is severely deformed.
Her spines were incomplete, with portions of it missing, while some of her vertebrae were fused and twisted.
A few of her ribs were also missing and she has joints and hips that are rotated in the wrong positions.
But even though she’s suffering from severe deformity, she’ll be okay with her new family.
As long as she doesn’t gain too much wait, Pig will have a greater chance of surviving.
With enough attention, care and love, Pig will be a happy dog.
