A video featuring the Korean Riot Police using an ancient Roman tactics to disperse a huge crowds in South Korea is currently making the rounds online. Although the video was posted a few months ago, some Reddit users are making the video trending once again.
According to the video’s description, the Korean police demonstrated how modern riot police can use the ancient Roman military techniques used during battles. Constant moving of troops ensured the leaders that they will send the freshest troops at the forefront of the riot to disperse the crowd.
The Korean riot police prove that constant training and formations, variants of which the Romans previously used could be done in modern day dispersal of crowds. It might not work at all times, but their movement is possibly the closest thing we currently see to witness the ancient tactics of Roman soldiers.
