Indeed, life is beautiful, but sometimes, we can’t be able to tell what might happen to us in a snap of our fingers. There are things which brought us happiness and there are also which causes us to lose hope and give in everything. That is what happened to all of our brothers and sisters during the World War II.
Life is said to be cruel during that time and people are helpless- oppression, poverty and death are just among of the many reasons why the feel of living is little. However, though power is limited, there are people who are willing to take risks just to help mankind. That’s what Sir Nicolas Winton did. During the show of BBC Program’s “That’s Life” which aired in 1988, Sir Nicolas Winton received the most heartfelt gift from being somebody’s hero.
Sir Nicolas Winton saved the lives of almost 700 people, mostly children, who were doomed be killed at Nazi death camps before WWII and one on the list is the girl who just ‘happened’ to be sitting right next to him. And when the hostess asked another question, he can’t hold back his tears. Sir Winton in indeed a hero that forever will be remembered. Now, it is me who can’t hold back the tears.
