There are so many inspiring stories online. Many of these stories can really change the way people think and react to certain things. Today, another story of a son who hates his father because they are not rich.

At the start of the story, the son expresses that he didn’t like his father. As what the son said in the story, his father has been working harder than his friends’ fathers, but still poor and unsuccessful. He even thought that his father was not that smart and he also claims that his father never became an inspiration for him from a young age.
Because of the son’s eagerness to be better than his father, he studied very well until he got a scholarship from a university abroad then leave his father by working there.
The son seemed to reject his father’s invitation of getting for occasions such as New Year’s Eve because of his “busyness” until a time came.
As time went by, his father was gone, the son went back home. He received a bunch of letters from a charity institution where his father has been donating.
One recipient from the charity talked to the son and realized that part from the money he gives to his father was being donated to the institution through his name.
The son then realized how his father dedicated his life in helping others even not in financial thing but in the encouragements and making them happy.

The story entitled “Gift” teaches everyone that “being rich is not about how much you have, but how much you can give”.
Also, the story teaches the importance of appreciating the efforts of fathers. Because, just like mothers, fathers are doing everything just to make their children grow and have a better life someday.
Appreciating your father can result in things that are priceless. Don’t wait for the time when they are gone.
