What would you do if you saw a giant windstorm fast approaching? I would either run for my life or just faint.
Dan Yorgason, 44, works at an oil company near Watford City, North Dakota. On Monday, his friend texted to warn him a storm is coming. He was just expecting a summer shower but when he stepped out, a massive tornado 100 feet away from his trailer is on it’s way to where they are – and they were able to capture an incredible footage.
The tornado touched down in Watford City, North Dakota at around 7:50 on Monday evening.
Dan knocked on to his friend Abram Schiff’s door and told him that a tornado is coming. “We took a few seconds to look at it and then we took off running,” Dan said.
They hopped into a truck and attempted to escape but then realized that the only way out is directly in the tornado’s path.
“We decided to go sideways towards the side of it rather than try to outrun it.We figured there was no way to outrun a tornado.”
They just stayed there and filmed the whole scene from inside the truck, while dirt and debris were being tossed around outside by the tornado.

Though their complex was spared, the tornado caused sever damage to a park next door and left 15 trailers destroyed and nine people injured.
