For 3 Years, This Kind Student Carries His Classmate Who Is Unable To Walk Going To School Everyday

Friend. What it’s exactly mean to be called one? Does it mean being the ‘best buddy’ for someone, whom you share the same interest in life? Or is it someone who, thick and thin, will always be on your side to cheer you up even though he’s hurting on his own? What it’s really mean to be a ‘friend’?

If you only ‘friends’ are those with standards, you’re wrong. A friend isn’t someone who you know the longest but someone who came into your life and never left your side just like what Xie Xu is to his friend, Zhang Chi.

Xie Xu, for the last 3 years, has been so kind carrying his disabled classmate Zhang Chi to school on his back.

19-year-old Zhang Chi unfortunately suffers from muscular dystrophy, a disease that results in progressive skeletal muscle weakness and potentially a shortened lifespan.

But that doesn’t stop his friendship with Xie Xu and his determination to finish his high school. Every day, for three years (sink that in), Xie Xu carries Zhang Chi on his back to go to school.

Xie makes at least a dozen daily trips with his friend, two hundred days per year, and even brings Zhang his meal every day.

Their friendship extends beyond imagination that they’re also the top students in their class.

“Xie…exerts positive influence on other students, who readily help Zhang. With their assistance, Zhang has never missed out on one single class,” remarked the vice headmaster of Daxu High School.

Soon, the two friends will be separated when they go to different colleges, and Zhang Chi will have to rely on himself. But for now, Zhang dedicates his life for Xie no matter what.

That makes someone a ‘friend’ each of us longed for. May God bless this friendship to lasts a lifetime.
