Beards seem to be a big symbol of masculinity. That’s why, many have been growing them in years.
But, a biology professor at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania named Scott Boback did something on his long beard. He cut it off for a good purpose.
He donated the beard to an organization called Matter of Trust. The organization has been cleaning up oceans using hairs since 1999. Hairs absorb oil from oil spills.
