During the exciting NBA All-Star Weekend, the slam dunk contest is among the most awaited event. This 2016, it has been electrified and won by last year’s champ, Minnesota Timberwolves’ Zach LaVine. He scored with a total of 99 points.

But, the contest has been fought by the two last fliers, LaVine and Gordon. The two scored equally and it needs to have a tie breaker.

As Gordon started his dunk, what he did is to bring the Magic’s mascot named Stuff while riding a hover board. While the mascot was spinning with his hover board, Gordon then ran and jumped in the air, grabbed the ball from spinning Stuff. He then makes a 360 dunk for his first dunk.

After his first dunk of the Final round, it’s time for his last shot. Again, he let Stuff be with him and hold the ball. Gordon, went on the floor, running for his dunk. What he did is jump so high that he went over the tall mascot then gets the ball under his legs and makes the dunk. Stunning!

Gordon’s chance is done. It’s LaVine’s time now. The current champ did a really high-flying dunk. LaVine went running to the floor, stepped at the free-throw lane then did a windmill dunk that made the bench stood on their feet.

Now, for the last try, LaVine again ran going to the free-throw line and then does a between-the-legs in the air before dunking. This made him the champion for the second consecutive time.

Well, not only that Zach LaVine be remembered from this day during the Slam Dunk contest but also his great contender, Aaron Gordon. Both are great dunkers. No question about it.

Rules According to SB Nation:
“Each participant will get two dunks in the first round, with no time limit to complete them but a maximum of three tries. The two players with the highest score will advance to the final round, where they will perform two more dunks. The one with the highest combined score will be crowned as the winner.”
