The Moai were carved by the Rapa Nui people between 1250 – 1500 CE and we know these by their heads. Just the existence of these strange heads is a mystery not until archaeologists uncover something shocking underneath these Easter Island heads. They’re actually attached to bodies that are buried deep underground—and they’re covered in indecipherable writings called petroglyphs!
