Facts About Dragon Ball Z That You Didn’t Know Yet – Amazing

In our childhood days, there are many things that we missed. From games, toys to different cartoons, seeing them just brings a nostalgic feeling. What are the shows that you love watching back then? How about anime? Speaking of anime, if there is one show that never grows old is the ever–famous, Dragon Ball Z.

This anime from Japan made by Akira Toriyama not only just conquered the nation but also western countries like America and U.K. It really became a worldwide hit.

Dragon Ball Z is a manga made by Akira Toriyama and published in a manga magazine on December 3, 1984. Then, Toei Animation produced an animated version of the manga having Son Goku as the main character.

In the story, it shows how Goku wanders the world battling evil, having new friends, and looking for the Dragon balls that if completed, one can ask three wishes that will be granted; anything.

Well, many of us have watched the series already. On how Son Goku became a Super Saiyan after making a Super Energy Ball.

And now, you thought, you knew everything about Dragon Ball Z? Here are the things you might not know yet.

1. Son Goku only finished two villains from the entire series.
Even with all the power that he had, Son Goku only finished Yakon, a low-level miniboss whose trip was devouring energy. Goku just overloaded him then, BOOM! Another one is the Kid Buu.

2. Dragon Balls are based on a really dirty myth.
The creator of Dragon Ball Z based these Dragon balls from the jewelry that came from an old series called “The Eight Dog Chronicles” wherein a women and dog made love resulting to these jewels.

3. You know probably know more about Dragon Ball than the creator itself.
Akira Toriyama admitted in an interview that he really forgets things. Just like there’s no Super Saiyan 2 in the series. He just jumped from 1 to 3.

4. There’s no consistency in the Visuals department
As what we can see in the photo below, there’s a really difference in the way the characters look. This is because of the different animators handling each episode.

5. Tons of differences between anime and manga
Since the producers wanted to prolong the series, they need to insert different filler episodes like when Bulma met a “life-exchange” frog.

6. The Japanese Government funded a Dragon Ball Z Movie.
The Japan’s Co-production Certification Program funded the making of the comeback movie “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods. The Japanese Government gave about 50 million or $600,000.

7. The Japanese Voice of Goku was actually a 78-year-old Woman.
Yes, Masako Nozawa is the voice of Goku since the beginning.

8. The Super Saiyan form was made just to save time.
According to Toriyama, in the drawing of the Super Saiyan, he just left the hair of Goku colorless just to save time filling-out all the blank spaces unlike to the hairdo of the normal Goku.
