Survival is a difficult part and choice to make in life, because since we all wanted to continue living, we have to heartlessly corrupt other creations. To animal kingdom, it’s pretty normal and we are aware of their ultimate rule- battling for each other’s lives.
I know you’re pretty familiar with the ways animal survive and that is simply through the nature of battle between the prey and the predator. Recently, a remarkable photo captured by Martin Le-May from Essex, flaunting a magical ride of baby weasel on a woodpecker’s back has made rounds on the internet and we can’t stop looking at it, believing that fairy tales can sometimes happen.
But this magical ride has a very different story you don’t even want to hear. It is actually a moment of battle between the weasel and the woodpecker for survival: the weasel was the predator and the woodpecker was the prey.
Le-May said that he was walking in the park with his wife when they heard the woodpecker bird flew right across them, carrying a small mammal on its back and that’s when he snapped these pictures. The animals both struggled for their life and after the woodpecker landed, the weasel fled.
“The woodpecker left with its life. The weasel just disappeared into the long grass, hungry”, Le-May continued.
