How ‘Turtle Posture’ Badly Affects Your Body – Also Learn How To Solve It

Many people are working in offices wherein sitting is mostly the position whole day. Not only that, because of the tiring hours of sittings, our bodies tend to do the “turtle posture”; it is a sitting position often seen in offices where the head is forwarded in front of the torso.

Yes, many of us are just guilty with this. This position badly affects the lumbar spine primarily which can be damaged forever. And as you hunch forward, your chest size reduces letting you breathe lesser air affecting your brain’s functionality and so on.

Watch this video below.

Thankfully, there’s a way to counter it according to Larry Swanson:

1. Lift up your rib cage, visualizing it rising up and away from your hips.
2. Roll your shoulders up and back so that your shoulder blades are as close as possible to your spine.
3. Lengthen the back of your neck, lifting up the back of your head and letting your chin tuck as the back of the head lifts up.
4. Finally, slide your head backwards as if it were a drawer you were closing.

So please, don’t be a TURTLE, okay?
